Graham and his wife Hilary have lived in Bucklebury for 46 years having moved out of West London on completion of his training as an air traffic controller, their three children were born there in the following five years. Graham soon joined Bucklebury Parish Council and in 1987 was elected to Newbury (now West Berkshire) District Council where he served for 36 years representing Bucklebury and other other adjoining parishes.
Graham was a member of many Council committees and always had a particular interest in the environment and planning, he chaired the WBC western area planning committee for many years but was privileged be elected Chairman of WBC for three years first in 2010-11 and from 2019-21. Graham decided to retire from Council life in 2023 and is now delighted to be more closely involved with our new constituency and Conservative Association.
Graham has many interests and enjoys travelling, especially to the US to visit two grandsons, spending time with four other grandchildren who live locally and is a keen gardener and walker. Unable to resist helping out in the local community Graham has just been co-opted back onto Bucklebury Parish Council!
